Our next International Jewish Film Series and dinner will honor Israel’s 71st anniversary. We will have a delicious Israeli dinner prepared by our resident chef, Rabbi Sternfield and his dedicated team of volunteers from the Women of Beth El. The dinner will be followed by a screening of the Israeli movie “Fill the Void.”
“Fill the Void” provides a glimpse of the Haredi Ultra-Orthodox community in Israel. It is the story of a young woman who is pressured to marry her deceased husband’s brother, according to an ancient Jewish law, since the husband died without having had children. This is the first Israeli film to have been made by an Orthodox woman.
